Happy New Month

Happy New Month from Her Light Foundation Sierra Leone.

As we welcome the month of June, we pray that it brings peace, protection, progress, and greater opportunities to every girl, woman, family, and community.

This new month is a reminder that every life is valuable, every voice matters, and every girl deserves to live in safety, dignity, and hope. As an organization committed to empowering girls and brightening communities, we encourage everyone to stay away from sexual abuse, exploitation, and every form of violence.

Let this month be a season of respect, kindness, and courage. Speak up against abuse. Protect one another. Choose peace over violence, and love over harm. Together, we can build safer homes, stronger communities, and a better future for all.

May this new month bring great miracles, new visions, and greater blessings.

Final Day

Today marks the successful end of our Menstrual Hygiene Campaign, and on behalf of Her Light Foundation Sierra Leone, we extend our deepest gratitude to every volunteer, supporter, partner, teacher, parent, and young girl who became part of this impactful journey.

This campaign was more than just awareness — it was a movement to break the silence, fight stigma, restore confidence, and promote dignity for girls and women across our communities. Menstruation is natural, and no girl should ever feel ashamed, isolated, or denied opportunities because of her period.

Throughout this campaign, we educated, empowered, and inspired hundreds of young girls with knowledge about menstrual hygiene management, self-care, and reproductive health. We also distributed sanitary materials and created safe spaces where girls could speak freely without fear or embarrassment.

At Her Light Foundation Sierra Leone, we believe that empowering a girl means empowering a nation. When girls are informed, confident, healthy, and supported, communities grow stronger and brighter.

As this campaign comes to an end today, our mission continues. We remain committed to advocating for menstrual equity, girl-child empowerment, education, and health awareness throughout Sierra Leone.

Together, we are breaking barriers.

Together, we are changing lives.

Together, we are keeping the light shining.

28 Days Menstrual Hygiene Campaign

Good day everyone.

Today, I am pleased to welcome you to our 28 Days Menstrual Hygiene Campaign, a special awareness and educational journey aimed at promoting menstrual health, dignity, and empowerment for girls and women.

Throughout these 28 days, we will be engaging with different tutors and facilitators, each focusing on important topics related to menstrual hygiene, health education, and ending stigma surrounding menstruation.

For today, Pessima Morie Sam will be our tutor, and his role is to officially introduce this campaign and its theme to you. Our goal is to educate, inspire, and create awareness so that every girl can manage her menstruation safely, confidently, and with dignity.

We believe that menstruation is natural, and no girl should ever feel ashamed or miss opportunities because of her period.

Thank you for joining us, and I encourage everyone to stay connected throughout this important campaign journey.

A letter to her Excellency, Mrs Fatima Jabbie Bio

Good Morning Her Excellency, Mrs. Fatima Jabbie Bio,The Mother of the Nation,
On behalf of Her Light Foundation Sierra Leone, a registered organization formed by university students and graduates, we extend our warmest greetings. Our foundation is driven by a dream to give voice to girls and women in society, and we have been working tirelessly to shape lives and support the "Hands Off Our Girls" project.
We are inspired by your leadership and dedication to promoting women's rights and empowerment. Your passion for creating positive change resonates deeply with our vision and mission.
As stated in the Tripartite Recommendation, "At least 30% representation of women in key areas like Cabinet, Parliament, local councils, civil service, and private institutions with 25+ employees" is a crucial step towards achieving gender equality.
We would be honored to meet with you, Madam, to discuss how we can collaborate to support girls and women in Sierra Leone. Your guidance and support would be invaluable to our cause.
Please let us know if this meeting is possible, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,

Pessima Morie Sam
